Comparison of indoor growing of microgreens: LED vs. window light
This test was not climate controlled. The widow light had the advantage of a room with more heat. Overall the micro greens grown under the LEDs were more dense, and had a deeper green color. Whether that computes to more nutrition in the darker green yield is yet to be determined.
The LEDs used here are designed at ZGB.
Broccoli Rabe
Above: After 16 days the LED grown microgreens (at right) were more dense and darker in color.
Above: After 30 days the microgreens (at right) have developed secondary leaves are denser and darker in color.
Pea Shoots
Peas grown under a LED light (at right) have a denser foliage growth. The window still grown peas are reaching for light and are elongated.
